Gerald I. Ewing, 75, entered eternal life on January 9, 2014, in Pueblo, Colo. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Darla; children, Gregory J. (Ramona) Ewing and Maggie Ewing; siblings, Laverne Westfall, Robert (Lucille) Ewing, Ruth Ketchum and Margaret (Bob) Larsen; grandchildren, Joshua B. Ewing, Ciara Ewing and Nicole Stephenson; and great-grandchild, Draken Ewing. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Emma Everhart. Gerald was born in Monte Vista, Colo. on March 12, 1938, to Irvin L. and Helen Ewing. He owned and operated Chets Market for many years. Gerald was a member of South Pueblo Lodge #31, AF&AM. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with his brother Robert Ewing officiating followed by Masonic Rites.   8. Gerald and I would laugh and joke about a milk and cookie incident that happened in1949 when I was 12 years old and he would always ask is that story the truth , and my answer was yes and we would always break out laughing even though it was told many times over and over .
