Gerald Alan (Slaght) French, better known as Alan or Frenchy, passed away on Aug. 13, 2022, just short of his 80th birthday. Preceded in death by parents, Henry Slaght and John and Carolyn French. Survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Meitzer; grandchildren, Maren and Evan Meitzer all of Florida; siblings, Carol Fillmore of Pueblo West, Linda Nelson of Pueblo, Wesley French of Salida and Pauline McCaffrey of Pueblo; aunt, Alison Blackburn of Pueblo and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Alan graduated from Pueblo County High School Class of 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked all of his adult life in sales and spent his free time in Creede, Colo. Alan was very much loved by his family and will be dearly missed. Cremation has taken place.
