George P. Crawford

George P. Crawford, 89, passed away October 15, 2002, in Cañon City. Survived by his children, Sue (Wayne) Davis of Cañon City, Jeanine (Robert L.) Werner of Sanger, California and Tom (Janice) Crawford of Jakara, Indonesia; grandchildren, Timothy, Stephen, Andrea, Diedra, Robert, Sara, Janelle, Jana, Jennifer and Samuel; and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Alma Crawford. George was born February 6, 1913, in Vandale, Arkansas and retired from the City of Pueblo. Member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He will lie in state at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2002, at Beulah Cemetery with Reverend E. Wayne Davis and Reverend Tom Crawford officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 310 N. 19th, in Cañon City. Those who desire, may make memorials to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through the funeral home.
