George Morrone, Jr., 88, departed this life on Dec. 18, 2016. Born to the union of George Carmen and Divina Morrone on Nov. 4, 1928. Preceded in death by his brother, John Morrone. Survived by his loving wife, Marva Morrone; children, George (Debbie) Morrone, Georgia Ann (Dave) Anderson and Sharon Morrone; sisters, Norma Jean (Ken) Walter and Edith Kralich; grandchildren, George Marc (Amanda) Boone, Chelsea (Tim) McGovern, Elena (Mickey) Felty, Monica Simmons, Kayla Morrone and Madison Morrone; great-grandchildren, Blake, Dillon and Keenan Boone and Conlan McGovern; numerous nieces and nephews; and close family members and friends, Nichol Scott, Jeffrey, Breanna Gorman, Betty and Fred Gallegos, Theresa Villanueva, Amadeo R. (Amy) Madrid, Dan Helman, Lee Gilder and George Soto. Special thanks to Dr. Banjoko and AIM Healthcare for their exceptional Care. Also a special thanks to Dana Hendrix who was his nurse for 15 years, Georgia Alledge and all who cared for him. He enjoyed watching old western movies, playing cards, going to Las Vegas and being with his family. He loved his fireworks! Viewing, 2 to 4 p.m. Thurs., in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Rosary followed by Mass 1:30 Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 414 W. 11th St. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Please omit food and flowers.
