George Drury Shrewsbury, known to his friends and family as Dru, passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, August 4, 2012, in Pueblo. Dru enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling, the great outdoors, working with his hands, cruising his Harley, and his family. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend is survived by ex-wife, Michelle Hannafious; children, Tigh Shrewsbury and Tiffany Shrewsbury and son-in-law, Matt Hutchings; grandchild, Brooklyn Hutchings; brothers, Tim (Shonna), Randy (Carol), and Lewis Shrewsbury; sister, Shawnee (Benny) Koch; nephews, Justin (Brandice) (and their children, Justice and Skyler) Dustin, Benny and Steven; nieces, Jaime and Molly Shrewsbury; and countless other family and friends. Dru was born November 7, 1957, and is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Donna Shrewsbury. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003. Michael Batts will officiate.   1. To the family of Dru, we went to the State Fair Together, I will tresure all the fun times we shared even when you and your brothers would pick on me riding the rides and there was lots of other fun times. But remember how great of a man Dru was.

    So sorry to hear about Dru we went to school together and we worked in construction during the same time. Dru and Tigh did the cabinets and wood trim in our home and did a masterful job.Treasure the time you worked with your father.

  4. My thoughts and prayers go out to all!! Although this is a very sad time Dru is home with the Lord looking down upon and watching over us. I know for sure he’s watching over his granddaughter. She was his life and he loved her very much.I’m going to miss you Dru!!

  5. Though I have not seen Dru for several years, I will always remember the fun times. Like when you and Tim put the V8 in the small Chevy and took it for a go. Missed the bridge! Family is all we have and you will be missed.

  8. Although it has been several years since we saw Dru, he was one of my favorite cousins. My dad is Bob Shrewsbury and we often saw each other when we came to Pueblo to visit Gene and Donna. We wish to send our heartfelt condolences on the unexpected passing of Dru.
