In Loving Memory Of Gary D. Wright March 1, 1937 - December 25, 2018 'What a Wonderful Day to Enter Heaven.' Gary was the son of Lester and Sarah Wright, the youngest of their six children. He was born in Wichita, KS. He, Colette, and Sam moved to Colorado in 1977. He has been a resident of Colorado City, CO for the past 12 years. Gary married the love of his life, Colette Strode, in 1958. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959 as a crew chief on R4Qs. He then worked in aerospace from 1959 to 1997, working for Bendix and Martin Marietta in CA, CO and FL. Gary also owned his own business, 'Wright's Welding.' Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheel driving, sailing, golfing, wood and metal working, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Colette Wright; son, Sam Wright and wife Brenda; grandson, Aaron Wright; granddaughter, Brittany Kelly and husband Joseph; brother, Dale Wright; sister, Gail Clopp and husband Al; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and friends he considered family. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Friday, January 4, 2019, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 6673 W. Chatfield Ave., Littleton, CO 80128. Interment held at the Golden Cemetery in Golden, CO. 'Many have asked if there is a charity they could donate to. We do not have a specific organization, so if you have a charity that is close to your heart, please donate in Gary's name and we would be honored. Please just let us know of your kindness.'
