Frederick F. Ferguson, 68, passed away September 10, 2001, at the Veterans' Nursing Home in Florence. Survived by his wife, Janet Ferguson of the family home; son, Brian (Laura) Ferguson of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Lisa Ferguson of Denver; brother, Terry J. Ferguson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; sister, Patricia Viox of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; brother-in-law, Edwin (Gwyneth) Augustine of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren, Haley and Scott Ferguson; nephews and niece, Andrew Ferguson, John Paul Ferguson, Stephen Govero, Cynthia Pilewski, Sean Viox and Dale Viox. Preceded in death his parents, Ernest and Stella (née Gibson) Ferguson and sister, Betty Govero. Frederick was born December 13, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was an accountant and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He also served as past president of Pueblo Optimist Club and past Lt. Governor of the Colorado/Wyoming district of the Optimist Club. He will lie in state at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2001, at First United Methodist Church, 11th and Court, with Reverend Jean Schwien officiating. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Those who desire can make memorials to First United Methodist Church or Optimist Scholarship Fund through the funeral home.
