Frank Pantleo, 96, passed away March 5, 2019. Preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Angie; son-in-law, Tom Ballas; parents, Philip and Pauline Pantleo; and numerous brothers and sisters. Survived by daughter, Frankie Ballas; son, Philip Pantleo; granddaughter, Jessi (Andy) Nash; great-grandchildren, Lacey and Benjamin; brother, Phillip Pantleo of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 1943 to Nov. 1945 and was honorably discharged on Thanksgiving Day. He was a member of the 132nd Combat Engineer attached to the 77th Infantry Division and participated in five major battles in the Pacific Theater where he was awarded the Bronze Service Star and Good Conduct Medal among others. Frank retired from CF&I Steel after 40 years service as a nail machine operator. He was a wonderful gardener all of his life and was very generous with family, friends and neighbors who enjoyed the bounty from his garden. Viewing, 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Shrine of St. Therese, 300 Goodnight. Entombment, Roselawn Cemetery. I am so sorry to hear about the death of Uncle Frank at this time it has come as shock after losing my brother James Valdez in January it just addes to the list of lovely people are hearts will miss.Aunt Angel and Uncle Frank always made it a point to tell Jimmy and I how special we were and the beautiful people who were no longer with us so real with all the wonderful stories.You are now together with your Angel.Thank you for all the love all those years Eddie Valdez Perkins.
I am sorry for your loss as child living on Stanford Ave in Pueblo Co I used to say hi to him he was such a great man I will truly miss him
