Francis Berthold Bush

Francis Berthold Bush, 98 passed away on Aug. 6, 2022. Survived by brother, Donald (Dorothy); daughters, Rebecca, Kristen (Walt) Mader; sons, David (Gay) and Jon; grandson, Adam (Tessa); granddaughter, Alyssa; sisters-in-law, Donna, Kennetha and Madelyn Meier; and brother-in-law, Norman Meier. Preceded in death by parents, George and Magdalene (Wenke) Bush; brothers, George, Armand, Chuck and Fred; and sisters, Betty and Magdalene.

Francis was born on March 15, 1924, and raised in Ft. Logan Colo., one of eight children of George and Magdalene Bush. After high school, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Europe with the 70th Inf. Div. After the war, Francis went to school to be a watchmaker and was employed at the Pueblo Ordinance Depot where he met and married Betty Lou Meier in 1950. A change in career to Electronic Technician led to a 30-year plus year career. With Betty, he raised two girls and two boys and was blessed with two grandchildren. He enjoyed the company of his family and his many friends, especially those in the “Romeo Club” and was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Service, 10 a.m. Monday, Aug 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 701 W Evans, Pueblo. Interment, 1 p.m. Aug. 24, at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and School. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com
