Frances Leona (Philhour) Whearley, 80, died Tues., July 2, 2008, at Life Care Center. A Pueblo native, Mrs Whearley graduated from Centennial High School and the University of Colorado. She was an accomplished musician and performed professionally in her earlier years before becoming a school teacher. Mrs. Whearley's husband, Robert, died last year. She is survived by a son; two granddaughters; nieces; nephews; and cousins; and many, many friends. A private family memorial service is pending. Online condolences, MontgomerySteward.com
Fran was a classmate and good friend. She held some of us (Bulldogs) together by arranging monthly lunches. She has been missed. Our prayers and sympathy are with you.

Frances Whearley was my Aunt; she was more fun than you can imagine! We lived in Indiana, but every few years we would venture out West to see “Uncle Bob and Aunt Frances”. Those times were memorable in many ways; the stories Aunt Fran would tell!! All of their travels and adventures filled my head with dreams of what could be. Rest in Peace Aunt Frances!
