Frances L. Duran, 73, joined our Lord on April 9, 2017. Frances was Born on May 27, 1943, in Springer, NM. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Duran; parents, Frank and Margaret Gauna; sisters, Stella Gauna and Gloria Hjelm; and brother, Bob Gauna. Frances is survived by her daughter, Debbye Duran (Derrick) Camus; grandchildren, Carlos (Tracy) Duran, Adrian Duran, DJ Camus; great-grandchildren, Armando Duran, Alana Duran; sisters, Alyce Tapia, Patricia Trujillo, Pauline Gauna; brother, Paul (Charlene) Gauna; sister-in-law, Betty Gauna; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family; loving companion, George Trujillo; his children, George (Joyce) Trujillo, Greg (Anna) Trujillo, Cat (Eddie) Apodaca, LuAnne Trujillo-Aranda, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and pets, Chino, Rosco, Buddy and Cobra. Frances enjoyed and loved spending time with her family and her many beloved friends. She was a talented musician and singer. She was a proud member of the Mariachi de Pueblo, El Trio Oro, American Legion, Southern Colorado Social Club & Eagles Club. Frances loved life and she knew no strangers. She was the light in every room she entered and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Viewing, 3 to 6 p.m. followed by Rosary on Monday at Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at St Joseph's Church, 1145 S. Aspen Rd. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at St Joseph's Hall following the interment. Frances and I worked together for years before she retired from the Pueblo Police Department. She was truly a great friend and our friendship continued far beyond her retirement. She will be missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Condolences to Debbye and family. Enjoy Heaven Hita.
