Frances 'Franny' Pearl Brown, 70, of Pueblo, Colo., passed away Wed. Jan. 6, 2016. Survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Leonard Brown; children, Delane (Jenni), Melena (Paul), Dana (Sharon) and Joaquin; siblings, Kathy Smith (Shawn, Todd, Brad and Robin), Susie Gomez (Crystal and beloved Sadie girl) and Daniel 'Chico' Gomez (Pauline); grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew and Derrick, Lacee, Kayla and Shelly, Darnell and Derrick; and multiple nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Mary Louise Gomez; sister, Danette Croope; brother, Jimmy Romero; son, Gus Brown; and daughter, Ivy Brown. Franny was born to Daniel and Mary Louise Gomez on Oct. 20, 1945. She was a Pueblo native and was a medical transcriptionist who worked for Parkview Medical Center for nearly 20 years. Franny's unselfish joy and compassion for those she loved is what she will be remembered for most. She never turned away anyone in need and always accepted anyone for who they were. Those that knew her loved her. She was particularly close to her grandsons, Darnell and Derrick Brown, whose guidance, caring and love from Grandma will be deeply missed. Franny passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made direct to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 1207 Pueblo Blvd Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.   1. I don’t know how long ago it was (because times seems to slip away now) but I saw Fran in the grocery store. We hugged, we talked and we laughed about old times and new. Same Frannie, that big smile and sweetness, a real jewel for sure. I will never forget you. RIP my friend. Deepest sympathy to Leonard and family. Betty Stamps
