Flora B. Brown, 98, passed away on May 25, 2022.  Survived by son, David & (wife) Asteria  Brown; grandchildren, Tatiana Marco, Angela Holaway, Emerald Alcott, Vincent Lovato,  Loren Hannah Brown; and 12 great-grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by husband, James Y. Brown; and son, Ronald J. Brown.

Flora was born to Loren and Mildred Faetly in December of 1923, in Boggstown, Ind., held a master’s in music (piano and organ), and worked as a piano teacher.  She enjoyed playing the organ, piano, water aerobics, swimming and loved watching basketball. Flora was a member of the Sweet Adelines and founder of Jolly Diggers both music groups.

  1. So sorry to hear about Aunt Flora’s passing – what a life well-lived! She always had a smile and kind words to share with everyone she met. I have great memories of her and Uncle Jim. Love to David and Asteria.

  2. So sorry to hear of Flora’s passing, she was such a sweetheart. I got to kind of know her by just passing her everyday at Brookdale, as my Mother was there as well. We would always sit accross from each other in the Dinning hall when i visited my Mom! She always had a smile to say hello, she will be remembered and missed by all who knew her!
