Filomena 'Minnie' Mastronardi, 82, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away Nov. 2, 2006. Survived by her children, Patricia (Glen Ray) Carlson of Pueblo and Gary (Barbara) Mastronardi of Pueblo West; grandchildren, Sean Carlson, Joel (Abby) Kershaw and Jared (Amanda) Kershaw; great-grandchildren, Jack and Eli Kershaw; cousins, James and Tony DiIorio; and nephew, Mike DiIorio. Preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Mastronardi on Nov. 15, 2005; parents, Josephine and Tony DiIorio; and brother, Joseph DiIorio. Minnie was born Oct. 28, 1924, in Pueblo. Minnie and John were married on June 8, 1946, at Mt. Carmel Church. Minnie retired from St. Mary Corwin Medical Center, in 1986, as an X-Ray clerk after 20 years of service. She was a member of Holy Family Church and was a cook for Holy Family School for several years. Minnie was a great Italian cook and enjoyed crocheting. Her favorite pastimes also included crossword puzzles and reading romance novels. She was devoted to her husband, children, family and friends. She was a member of Ladies Fidelity of the Columbian Federation and Fraternal Order of Eagles. The family will receive friends and relatives from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Rosary, 7 p.m. Sunday and funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Monday. Both services at Holy Family Church, 2827 Lakeview. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Minnie's family thanks St. Mary Corwin's pastoral care, nursing staff and student nursing staff; also Dr. Louise E. Schottsteadt for the compassionate care given Minnie.
