Fern E. Owens

Fern E. Owens, 88, passed away May 24, 2003, in Pueblo, Colorado. Survived by her siblings, Lavina T. Ritchey of Santa Clarita, California. Dorothy Higgins of Prineville, Oregon, and Russel T. (Patricia) Gollen; sister-in-law, Lillian Gollen; and special friends, Burl and Irene Stearns and Jack and Judy Rockwell. Preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Derel Owens; and siblings, Archie Gollen, Opal M. Almanze, Donald A. Gollen and Verna Hutsell. Fern was born January 26, 1915, in Sagle, Idaho. She and her husband were directors of Child Evangelism Fellowship, Spanish Peaks Chapter for many years. She will lie in state at the funeral home Monday from 2:30 until 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor William Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Wetmore. Those who desire may make memorials to Child Evangelism Fellowship, through the funeral home.
