Eula Mae 'Shorty' (nee Ricks) Miller, 71, passed away April 25, 2000, at Parkview Hospital. Born, September 26, 1928, in Rodgers County, Oklahoma and was a Pueblo resident for the past six years. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Edna (nee Casper) Ricks and brother Sammi. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Leon Miller; twin sister, Beulah Sharton; sisters, Blanche Iiams, Wynona McPhail, Lou Ruzanski, June (Caldwell) Beck and Oleta Quigly; brothers, Jake (Lillian), Everett (Pat), Jack (Helen), Bill (Maryann) and Glenn Ricks. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. Shorty graduated from Sugar City High School and became a licensed cosmetologist. She was a dedicated member of the Lake Avenue Baptist Church. Mae was also an avid Bronco fan and enjoyed life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by family and friends. She will lie in state at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until noon on Friday. Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2000, at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, with the Reverend Harold Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends and relatives at 1320 Constitution following the interment.
