Eujeania 'Jeania' Marie Maddux, 69, passed away Sept. 11, 2018. Survived by husband of 42 years, Walter J. Maddux; daughter, Victoria Maddux of Monument; sons, Walter C. (Rose) Maddux and Ray (Loretta) Maddux; grandchildren, Sorsche (Kyle) Provost, Tre (Savannah) Sisneros, Doug (Sarah) Maddux, Devin Maddux, James Maddux and Annie Maddux; great-grandchildren, Nicholai, Elora and Marshal Provost, Nicolae and Rosie Maddux; siblings, Sharone (Robert) Marcen and Adrian (Janet) Samberson and families all of Albuquerque, N.M., Barbara (Roger) Kennedy of Kanalei, Hawaii, Carl Samberson of Leadville, Robert (Charlotte) Samberson; nieces and nephews, Liz (Dave) Zupan, Josh Zupan , Mike Marcen , Matt Marcen of Denver, Mikie (Christian) Marcen, Jim (Sandy) Marcen, Krystina (Kurt) Vaul, Tom Samberson of Leadville and Jason Hemsath and family of Westcliff; special friends, Carol Kuhns, Verla Noakes, Martha Hopkins and Linda Everetts. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Tom and John; daughter, Yvette Sue Maddux; daughter-in-law, Cindy Maddux; grandchildren, Jacob and Krystin Maddux; and in-laws, Sam and Loretta Burpo. Jeania was born to Adrian Woodruff and Margaret Samberson on July 15, 1949, in Pueblo and retired from CMHIP in 2016. Jeania enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A day of remembrance hosted by friends and former employees will be held, 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at City Park. Follow sign, bring a chair and share a memory of Jeania. Everyone who knew her is welcome. A celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
