You carried so much love, even through some incredibly difficult chapters of life. And when you spoke about Luke and Logan, it was always so clear how deeply they were woven into your heart. Being their mom mattered to you in ways that words could never fully capture.
Not long ago, I told you that I was a member of the choir singing for you. I hope somehow you heard that choir. I hope you knew there were people in your corner who saw your strength, believed in you, and wanted so very much for you to find your way toward brighter days.
My heart aches knowing that your story ended far too soon. I hope you have found the peace that sometimes felt so difficult to find here.
You mattered, Erin. Your life mattered. Your story mattered. And the love you had for Luke and Logan will forever be part of the lives you touched.
I will remember you with compassion and with gratitude that our paths crossed in this life.
Rest peacefully, Erin. ❤️
The first time Erin visited Wyoming and our family cabin at Alcova Lake in 2007, she asked Connor to stop in Casper to get some soap that she had forgotten. Connor told her she didn’t need any soap because there was no running water at the cabin. They both laughed and Erin took it in stride and showed her ability to adapt to any situation.
We found out in March of 2008 that a grandchild was on the way. Luke was born early in August. I was thrilled to know that I would have a lifelong relationship with Erin, even if things didn’t work out with Connor.
But things seemed to work out and on August 1, 2009, Erin and Connor married in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Sean and I have always said it was the best wedding ever!
Logan came along in 2013 and the family seemed to be doing well. It wasn’t until much later that we learned that life in their household wasn’t always happy.
We’re sorry that both Erin’s and Connor’s lives ended this year. It’s a great loss for Luke and Logan. Our hearts break with theirs.
Love you, Sweet Girl. I will miss you and your laugh forever.
You will be so missed my sweet friend. Love you forever!!
