Elsie J. Nelson, 81, passed away Oct. 9, 2012. Survived by her children, Mary Kay (Alan) Hamel of Pueblo, Jayne (Vern) Curtis of Pueblo, Richard (Pattie) Nelson of Littleton and Janet 'Chickie' Nelson of Pueblo; grandchildren, Nathan (Hannah Ingles) Hamel, Lisa Hamel and Allie Marie Nelson; special nephew, Jim Mauss and his family; sisters-in-law, Rosella Gartzke and Lois Kreklow; and the Krasovic family. Preceded in death by her husband, Dale Roger Nelson; and parents, Jacob and Mary Krasovic. Elsie was born Oct. 24, 1930, in Pueblo. She worked at Acme Cleaners and was a judge at Beacon Hill Speedway. She was proud of her Slovenian heritage and was a great cook and homemaker. Elsie was a lifetime member of Holy Family Parish. A special thank you to Dr. James Stjernholm, nurses at Interim Healthcare, especially Elisa, Lora and Bambi and the Wound Care Center at St. Mary Corwin for the care they gave Elsie. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial Mass, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at Holy Family Parish, 2827 Lakeview Ave. Memorials may be made to the Elsie Nelson Memorial Fund through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.   1. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nelson Family. Elsie was a fine Lady, she was always so nice to me when when I was in the Nelson home. Brad also has many fond memories of her from Beacon Hill. Elsie will live in the hearts of many.
