Elly was born in Anton Chico, New Mexico, February, 1940. She is preceded in death by parents, Celestino and Maria Aragon; husbands, Alejandro 'Jose' Pacheco and Raymond Pennington; siblings, Celestino Aragon Jr., Willie Aragon, Olympia Duran and Marty Chavez. Left to cherish her memory are children, Michael (Rebecca) Pacheco, Dennis (Jeannette) Pacheco and John (Jennifer) Pacheco; grandchildren, Alexandra Pacheco, Dane Pacheco, Dakota (Katlyn) Pacheco, Montana Pacheco, Canyon Pacheco, Aspen Pacheco and Chase Pacheco; great-grandchildren, Jaiden Pacheco, Dominic Pacheco and Grace Park; siblings, Sally Macias, Ann Pennington, Peggy (Lou) Clark, Jake (Josie) Aragon, Elmer (Olivia) Aragon, Pat (Jim) Gurule and Rose McKee; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Our mother had a very full and active life. She was a wonderful person who gave love and was loved by everyone she met. In 1977 she married the love of her life 'Ray.' He loved and adored her; and he was good to our family. She spent the next 12 years being a homemaker and living a wonderful life. In 1998, Elly and her son, 'Mike' opened Papa Jose's Union Café. She found joy in being a restaurateur as it kept her busy; allowed her to meet new people, make new friends, cook and bake. Elly belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles where she demonstrated her lifelong love of dancing. She cherished all of her friends especially the ones at the Red Hat Society and other social groups. All are invited to celebrate Elly's life. Service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home Chapel, 1317 N. Main Street, Pueblo, CO. 81003, with a reception to follow. Private interment will take place at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will also receive guests at 5 p.m. at Elly's home. Her favorite color was emerald green.
