Elly was born in Anton Chico, New Mexico, February, 1940. She is preceded in death by parents, Celestino and Maria Aragon; husbands, Alejandro 'Jose' Pacheco and Raymond Pennington; siblings, Celestino Aragon Jr., Willie Aragon, Olympia Duran and Marty Chavez. Our mother had a very full and active life. She was a wonderful person who gave love and was loved by everyone she met. In 1977 she married the love of her life 'Ray.' He loved and adored her; and he was good to our family. She spent the next 12 years being a homemaker and living a wonderful life. In 1998, Elly and her son, 'Mike' opened Papa Jose's Union Café. She found joy in being a restaurateur as it kept her busy; allowed her to meet new people, make new friends, cook and bake. Elly belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles where she demonstrated her lifelong love of dancing. She cherished all of her friends especially the ones at the Red Hat Society and other social groups. All are invited to celebrate Elly's life. Service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Home Chapel, 1317 N. Main Street, Pueblo, CO. 81003, with a reception to follow. Private interment will take place at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will also receive guests at 5 p.m. at Elly's home. Her favorite color was emerald green. If you have a green accent piece, wear it in her honor. The family would like to thank all the caregivers, especially her special friend, John, who provided assistance in Elly's final months. 4. Dear Aunt Elly, This is all so surreal to me that you are gone…..breaks my heart. I will never understand why this had to happen to you when you had such a love of life, family, friends and people. Your Sister, my Mom, will be lost without her traveling buddie and partner in crime…..you two shared so much, she will be lost without you!! I watched you at the Papa Jose’s Employee Christmas Party and watched you as you treated each one as special as the other. You took such pride in your restaurant and made it what it is today……..your love of music and dancing was enjoyable to watch….you took partners who had two left feet and made them look like Fred Astaire…lol….you even danced with the Mararachi at Tres Margaritas for my birthday last year when we went with Ruth Mace and Mom!! I have so many memories of you in my life…..as you dance in heaven with the Angles, know that you are greatly loved and missed by me, Your Niece, Celeste Madrid

I love you always and forever! Rest in Peace!
