Elaine T. Foute, 97, passed from this life on March 23, 2019, to join her Savior Jesus Christ in heaven. 'For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.' Phillipians 1:21 Elaine is survived by her sons, Garret (Sandy) Foute of North Richland Hills, Texas, Steven (Kay) Foute and James (Jeanne) Foute both of Pueblo West; and 32 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elaine was born on Oct. 13, 1921, in Stanton, Neb. where she resided through high school. She had a deep love for music and was the drum major her senior year. Her husband of 71 years, John Foute, passed away in 2014. She and John were married on April 10, 1943. They first resided in Virginia where she worked for the Maritime Commission-Bureau of Ships. Subsequently, the family moved to Wichita and then to WaKeeney, Kan. where she was a den mother for the cub scouts, played canasta and pinochle and square danced. In 1961, a final move was made to Pueblo. There she was an Avon Lady for over 40 years, accumulating many awards and honors as a top performer. She and John together were charter members of the Pueblo Chorale and members of Bethany Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She loved the Lord, family, friends and had a particular affection for cats. She last resided at the Oasis Assisted Living Home in Pueblo West. Memorial service , 11 a.m Saturday, April 6, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Private interment, Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, P.O.   1. Garret, Steve, Jimmie and family. My sincere condolences to you all. Your mother was a wonderful person that I’ll remember forever. I’ll never forget her kindness and peacefulness. You are so very fortunate to have been able to share her with your grand and great grandchildren. She will positively influence their lives forever. She will always be in my mind.

  2. What a beautiful lady and friend Elaine was to all who knew her. I loved to hear the doorbell ring when she came to visit and bring my Avon order. God bless her family. I am so sorry for your loss, but happy for heaven’s gain.

I know we don’t talk a lot but but I always get a smile when I think of you. Great friends don’t need endless contact to know they’re still great friends. Again, I love you guy. Take care.
