Edythe Gernazio

Edythe Gernazio, 94, passed away on October 23, 2014. Survived by son, Michael Gernazio; grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth)Pietrzak, Erin Pietrzak, Justin (Angela) Gernazio and Andrea (Justin) Polito; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Annalysa and Gianna Polito, Jaxon and Jacoby Gernazio, Shiloh Pietrzak; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Gernazio; daughter, Linda Pietrzak; a brother; numerous sisters, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Edythe was born to Angelo and Virginia Daurio on October 7, 1920, in Pueblo. She enjoyed cooking holiday dinners and spending time with family and friends. Special thanks to her loving care giver and granddaughter, Andrea Polito, the staff at Sangre de Cristo Hospice and special friends, Josephine Romero and Joyce Sparkman. Rosary, 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014, both services at Shrine of St. Therese, 300 Goodnight. Entombment, Roselawn Cemetery.
