Edward Temple “Buzz” Kaufman, born August 20, 1935, in Kingman, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, in Pueblo, Colorado, at the age of 90.
Buzz is survived by his beloved wife of 66 and a half years, Sharon L. Kaufman “Kelley,” of Pueblo; his brother, Tom Kaufman of Fort Collins; his son, Chris K. Kaufman (Shannon) of Castle Rock; and his daughter, Karen L. Kaufman of Pueblo. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Caroline Day (Dalton) of Rogers, AR; Ian Kaufman (Bailey) of Miami , OK; Joren Kaufman (Clare) of Springdale, AR; Hayden Kaufman (Jenny) of Little Rock, AR; and Annastyn Kaufman of Castle Rock. Buzz was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren.
A graduate of CU Boulder in 1959, Buzz served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957 aboard the USS Rochester. He went on to build a successful career as a real estate appraiser and owner of the Kaufman Agency, established in 1952 and still operating today under appraiser Lisa Oliva’s ownership. Buzz was an active member of the Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow.
Buzz lived a vibrant life filled with love for his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, playing piano at dinner parties, staying active in the community, and sharing cocktail hours with Kelley. Above all, he cherished time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His unique spirit and enduring legacy will be treasured by all who knew him.
A service to honor Buzz’s life will be held on May 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Ascension Episcopal Church, 420 W. 18th Street, Pueblo, CO 81008. A reception will follow at Pueblo Country Club, 3200 8th Avenue, Pueblo, CO 81008.
