Edward Lyle Reichert, 89, passed away Feb. 20, 2010. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen Hale Reichert; daughter, Charlene Reichert (Tom Prince) of Pasadena, Calif.; grandchildren, Jesse Prince (Jen Paur) of Seattle, Wash., David Prince of Los Angeles, Calif., Anya Prince of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Lila Seele of Johnstown, Colo, Lanie Fogleman of Loveland, Colo. and extended family of nieces and nephews. Ed was born to Jacob and Bertha Reichert on June 27, 1920, in St. Francis, Kan. He graduated from Colorado State University. He was Supervisor for the Colorado State Department of Rehabilitation for over 30 years, retiring in 1978. For years he was an advocate for the handicapped, active in establishing community services and organizations for the Pueblo handicapped. There will be no viewing. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial service, 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 85 Stanford Ave., with the Reverend Kim James and the Reverend Sandy Spahr officiating.
