Edward L. Ficker, 81, passed away March 16, 2012. Survived by his children, Audri (Files) TeaGarden of Brighton and Brian (Cathy) Ficker of Ft. Collins; grandchildren, Mike Ficker and B.J. Ficker, both of Ft. Collins; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Kansas. Preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth M. Ficker. Edward was born to Frank and Mary Ficker on May 7, 1930, in Great Bend, Kan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from CF&I as a millwright. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel followed by a reception in the funeral home banquet hall. Private inurnment, Mountain View Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum.   1. my condolences to brian and audrie – knew your father for many years and thought a lot of him – didnt know he had passed on until i got to searching records since i didnt hear from him on my birthday – had always gotten a card for the past 30 years or so – he was a wonderful person –

  2. I worked with Ed at CF&I for several years. He was a hard working, easy going, nice guy! I am so glad that I recently saw and talked with Ed at Saturday morning breakfast. He was a good friend.
