Edward Eugene 'Gene' Pike, 69, passed away November 8, 2004. Survived by his wife, Rosalee Pike; children, Turene (Gene) Lombard, Rodney (Rita) Pike, Laurene Trujillo, Kimberly Pike, Donnie (Dannette) Pike and Kirk (Shannon) Pike; brothers,
Ronald (Karen) Pike and Richard Pike; mother-in-law, Mabel Garcia; aunt, Joretta (Bill) Sorenson, all of Pueblo; and seventeen grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Lisle O. And Hildred Pike; brother, Jerry Pike; and grandson, Rodd Pike. Born September 11, 1935 in Pueblo, Gene was a 1954 graduate of Centennial High School. He retired from the C.F. & I. as foreman of the tube mill and was a member of Parkhill Baptist Church. He will lie in state at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Calvary Church, 5 Tulane, Pueblo, with Pastor David Asch officiating. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Poppy, you were the greatest Grandpa ever! Thank you for my doll house, trips to Gunnison, breakfasts, hugs, your love and support. I’m going to miss you so much and I will never ever forget any of our good times together. You’re an angel now, so help keep me safe. Take care of my Snickers for me, you guys better be waiting at the gates of Heaven for me when it’s mine turn. I love you so much!!
