Edward A. Bratina, Sr., 87, passed away April 9, 2005. Survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Julia I. Bratina, of the family home; children, Edward A. Bratina, Jr., Catherine M. Winters, Dorothy J. (Don) Williams, Michael L. (Norma) Bratina and Joseph P. (Tina) Bratina; siblings, Mary Keller, Elizabeth Young, Stanley Bratina and Ann Pachak; grandchildren, Kassia, Jessica, Annette, Sherrie, Craig, Darren, Courtney, Cameron and Tim. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by both his parents; a son, Richard A. Bratina; and three brothers, John, Steve and Willie Bratina. Edward was born Feb.27, 1918, in Pueblo and had been a lifelong resident. He retired from CF&I after 42 years as a bricklayer foreman. Member of the Shrine of St. Therese and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Shrine of St. Therese, 300 Goodnight, with the Reverend Father Liam Courtney as celebrant.
