Edna L. Davenport passed away Sept. 29, 2011. She was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Pueblo, Colo. and was a lifetime resident. Survived by her daughters, J. Arlene (Gene) Hubersberger of Roy N.M. and Sally Anne Kennedy of Pueblo; grandson, Gregory Gene Van Dyke of Maple Valley, Wash; brother, Michael (Susan) Allison of Asheville, N.C.; two nieces, Krista Allison and Kelly Allison; aunt, Darlene Smith; and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by parents, Frank E. and Elsie C. (Smith) Allison; husbands, Jack T. Kennedy in 1980 and David E. Davenport in 1989; brothers, Frank E. Allison, Jr. in 1947, John R. Allison in 1966 and Gary R. Allison in 1999; aunts, Louise Criswell, Estelle Lovette, Edna Maxwell, Ruth Campbell and Fae L. Lewis; uncles, J.D. Allison and Ben E. Smith; niece, Robin M. Allison; plus grandparents. Edna was a member of Wesley Methodist Church, having been baptized in 1924. She graduated in 1939 from Central High School. Past Worthy High Priestess of San Isabel Shrine No. 7, White Shrine of Jerusalem, former member of Fidelity Chapter No. 144, Order of Eastern Star, past president of Southeastern Colorado Genealogy Society. Viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service. Service, 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, both the viewing and service in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery. Omission of food requested. Memorial donations may be made to Wesley Methodist Church through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.   1. Today I found that Edna, left this past September. I wanted to share one menory that I have of this great Lady….it happend one Christmas when the only Color I saw was blue, I have always remembered that Christmas as Edna allowed me into her home and on that Christmas day, to share her Christmas with her family and me.

    Thanks so much for doing that Edna I’ll never forget that Blue Christmas and wish that all the others will remember Blue Christmas too. I
