Dr. Steven “Doc” Martin, 72, passed away Jan. 24, 2022. Survived by his wife, Kim Martin; sons, Dana (Laura) Martin and Casey Martin; grandson, Bhodin Steven Martin; and brothers, Greg (Mary-O) Fury and Calvin Martin.
Preceded in death by his father, Don Martin; mother, Berneice Martin; and sister, Sara Osmondson.
Doc was born Nov. 30, 1949, in Spokane, Wash. He worked at Parkview Medical Center, Boys Ranch and Clearview. He enjoyed metal and woodworking, machining, reining horses, reading, skiing, sailing and travel.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Bryan Hynes and the complete staff of Parkview Hospital’s Neuro-Trauma ICU whose compassion, love, support and professionalism was priceless!

Deepest sympathy for all…
I worked with Dr. Martin at Parkview and learned so much from him. He was an excellent physician and was professional with all. He cared. I spent several decades watching him in action.
You helped me in so many ways you will be missed my friend.

With a heavy heart I read today in the newspaper about Dr. Martin passing. Dr. Martin saved my mental health helping me find balance after I graduated college which resulted in a successful 20+ year career in local government. It took over ten years for me to get Dr. Martin to crack a smile and chuckle with me during my yearly check-in visits. He did not see my mania as humorous as I did, or he did not outwardly show it 🙂
My mother valued his easy manner and helping her relate to me as my moods changed up and down during the years it took me to balance.
I am happy to know he was able to have a couple years of enjoyment with family and friends after his retirement.
He will be missed by many. Kim, keeping you and your family in my thoughts.
Really enjoyed working for Dr Martin at Front Range and Parkview! He was a great Doctor. He will be greatly missed! He cared and healed so many patients. We had a great team.

I was so sorry to hear of Steve’s passing, nothing can prepare you for losing a loved one. I’m thankful he was able to meet his adorable grandson and I’m sure that made him very happy. May good memories linger always, I am thinking of you all.
