Dorris Elaine Gilchrist

Dorris Elaine Gilchrist, 82, passed away March 19, 2002. Survived by her husband of 55 years, Joe V. Gilchrist, of the family home; son, Steve J. Gilchrist, Pueblo; daughter, Linda S. (Rick) Harless, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Marietta Benzel, Fort Collins, Colo.; grandchildren, Gina (John) McCoy, Pueblo, Kelly (Jim) Edmiaston, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Stephanie (Randy) Acers, Green Valley, Missouri, and Brent Harless, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Preceded in death by her sisters, Burdette Kahler and Maxine Mitchell. Dorris was born on May 23, 1919, in Hastings, Nebraska. She married Joseph V. Gilchrist on May 10, 1947, in Hastings and was a longtime Pueblo resident. Member of Christ the King Church. At her request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2002, at Christ the King Church, 1708 Horseshoe Drive, with the Reverend Father Thomas Adrians as celebrant.
