Dorothy J. Stanford Newberg

Dorothy J. (Stanford) Newberg, formerly of Pueblo, Colo., passed away in Valrico, Florida, on March 9, 2007. Born to Cecil and Maude Bjork on December 21, 1923, in Kiowa County, Colo. Survived by her husband, Merle Newberg; daughter, Rhonda (Wayne) Genova; son, Martin (Theresa) Stanford; stepsons, Ed (Sharon) Newberg and Dale (Karan) Newberg; stepdaughter, Joyce (Jack) O'Connor; and brother, Ronald (Dorothy) Bjork. Also survived by grandson, Jason (Diane) Genova; granddaughter, Sarah (Justin) Genova-Weis; and grandchildren, Thomas, Timothy and Tony Newberg, Erik and Abby Newberg, Andrew and Justin Newberg, Lynette Rockvam and Deanna Emery; and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her first husband, Martin V. Stanford; and sister, Marjorie. Dorothy retired as an Assistant Trust Officer from Pueblo Bank and Trust Co. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was a kind and gentle lady who will be missed by all. Memorial service, 11 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 17, 2007, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel.
