Dorothy F. Bayliss, 90, passed away July 26, 2008. Survived by her daughter, Dianne Gallagher of Pueblo; sisters, Eleanor Hattery of Bakersfield, Calif., Mildred McCallin of Denver and Alice Claffey of Napa, Calif.; and grandchildren, Kimberly Gallagher and Bryan (Jennifer) Gallagher, both of Pueblo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Bayliss in 1965. Dorothy was born to Ed and Edith Schmitt on May 24, 1918, in Pueblo. She graduated from Parkview Hospital nurses training in 1938. Dorothy retired from Colorado State Hospital as a night R.N. supervisor. She also volunteered at the Soup Kitchen. Dorothy was a longtime member of Christ the King Church. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening and family. Private burial has taken place at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial Mass, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at Christ The King Church, 1708 Horseshoe, with Msgr. Tom Adrians, V.G, as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SRDA Meals on Wheels, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.   2. I have known Dorothy for a long time, we worked together at Parkview, later at Dr. Hadley’s office and later at the State Hospital. I am so very sorry for your loss, She was a good friend and a great person.
