Gigi (as she was lovingly called by her great-grandchildren) lived a very full and happy life. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend; someone who loved being with her family and friends. She kept active and involved with her church as well as traveling, playing golf, dancing, singing, and she played the piano beautifully. She strongly believed in giving back to her community through volunteering. Gigi was the kind of person that we strive to be like, kind, caring and generous to others. She set a wonderful example for her family and she will be missed but never forgotten.
Dorothy was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Red Hat Club, 9 Hole Group at the golf course, Elkette at Elks Lodge, and volunteered and was a member of Rosemont Museum, Sangre de Cristo Arts Center and the Pueblo Zoo.

I’m so sorry to hear of Dorothy’s passing. She was such a sweet and beautiful person! She and my Mom were good friends for years. It was always such a joy seeing her beautiful smiling face at the Art Center while she was volunteering in the Children’s Museum and at plays at Memorial Hall. She will be missed!
Mrs Hanscom was a one in a million educator and friend. My children, Dawn Taryn Lindsey and Jarod were privileged to be in her kindergarten class. She loved the kids. She loved teaching and always had a smile. After she retired, I was fortunate enough to see her in the community and we would always talk. She never failed to ask about my children and really cared about what they were doing. She loved her family beyond measure. Prayers for comfort for each of you.

I loved hearing stories of her travels from the girls and was just in awe of the things she accomplished. She raised strong, confident daughters who love just the way she did….
unconditionally….and I am blessed to call them both my dear friends. May God’s comfort shine upon you all. We love you.
