Dorlan Kent Conklin

Dorlan Kent Conklin, 71, passed away on Aug. 12, 2023, of natural causes. He was born on Feb. 8, 1952, in Pueblo, Colo., to Anna (Rose) and Vernon Conklin. Dorlan graduated from South High School in 1970, worked as a mill right in the 1970’s and early 80’s. He became a psych tech in 1984, and soon a registered nurse at the Colorado Mental Health Institution, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed traveling, his pets and working on his farm in Boone. Dorlan is survived by his son, Ryan (Jenna) Conklin; and two grandsons. A luncheon will be held to remember Dorlan’s life at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, at the Boone VFW, 106 S.
