Dora Ilene Daberkow, 92, passed away on Feb. 6, 2023. Survived by her children, Terence (Debby) of Pueblo, Kevin (Susan) of Fremont, Calif., and Susan of Pueblo West; sister, Cora Waterman; brother-in-law, Merlin; sisters-in-law, Marie and Madge; grandchildren, Zeb (Natalie) Clayton, Kelsey (Victor) Marcum, Jared and Avery Daberkow; and great-grandchildren, Charlee Hargas, Von and Jax Clayton, and Calvin and Vivi Marcum. Preceded in death by her husband, Melvern; daughter, Linda; son, Alan; parents, William and Ida Nagel; sister, Nora; and brother, Theodore.
Dora was born on Jan. 12, 1931, in Great Bend, Kan. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Mary Corwin where she retired as head nurse of the Orthopedic floor in 1986. She enjoyed camping and decorating cakes for family occasions. Dora was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Lutheran Laymen’s League.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral service, 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 701 W. Evans Ave. Entombment, Mountain View Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum. Those who desire may make memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, 701 W. Evans Ave., Pueblo, CO 81004.     Your mom was a pleasure to meet and talk too. Enjoyed are weekly visit to her house or beauty shop. Always had a smile . Sending you lots hugs and prayers.

  2. She will be missed dearly. She has encouraged me.to go back to school. She was the light of the day when you was down her smile brought up the person in yourself She always had a great smile n ear to listen and give u the best advice.

  3. I attended Nurses Training with Dora and have fond memories of her and Mel. We went on many double dates with our future husbands. My deepest condolences to the family, and may God Bless each of you.

  4. I worked at SMC when Dora was a head nurse. She was a lovely lady and highly respected! My condolences to her family and may memories of her sustain you in the days ahead.
