It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Wayne Daub, 77, on August 4, 2026, in Pueblo, Colo. after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife, Marylou, whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on September 17; daughter, Milissa (Ed); son, Charles (Vanessa); grandson, Josh; beloved dog, Bella; brother, Benjamin Daub, III (Stephanie); sister, Sandy (Ray) Ostlund; and nieces and nephews.
Don was born in Washington, D.C. on September 7, 1948. He was preceded in death by his father Benjamin Daub, Jr. and mother Lorraine (Dickes) Daub; father and mother-in-law, Conrad, Sr. and Virginia Orndoff.
Don was in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1969 and was honorably discharged on June 24, 1971. Then he went to work for Mountain Bell/Qwest in Pueblo until his retirement as a Central Office Technician (COT) in 2009.
Don enjoyed spending time with Marylou. They enjoyed shopping, going to the movies, scratching lottery tickets, eating out as well as many other things. But most of all they enjoyed just being together.
There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his wife, kids, family and friends. He was always there for you no matter the time or day. He would give you the shirt off of his back.
He will be sadly missed by family and all that knew him.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rock Canyon Respiratory and rehabilitation for taking care of Don during his illness.

While we did not know Don, we knew of him through his daughter,Milissa. David and I offer you and family our deepest condolences at news of his passing. Our hope for you now is for peace and comfort as you go forward each day.
Don was a great guy to work with in the central office world. May he rest in peace. He was very helpful and he knew his craft well. Condolences to his family and friends.

I worked with Don for many years as a Central Office repairman. He was always there if you needed any help, my go to guy! Our deepest condolence to his family and may he rest in peace.
I knew Don from working at the Central Office in Pueblo. Always had stories to tell. Very nice guy. RIP.

I worked with Don for 30 years! What I remember was his love for Mary Lou and his kids! Great husband and father. No matter the over time involved he was never too tired to work on a trouble ticket or someone’s loss of phone service! I knew Don from our days at Mountain Bell. It was a pleasure knowing him. He was so helpful and kind helping me when I worked on test board. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May God bless your family and Don. Rest In Peace
I worked with Don at the phone company for many years. He was always a pleasure to be around. Hard worker and always willing to pitch in. He was also my 1967 Centennial classmate. Honor to have known him. My deepest condolences to his family and all that had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be missed. God speed.
