Donald LeRoy Slump, 85, passed away June 8, 2005, in Pueblo, Colorado. Survived by his wife, Thelma Slump; children, Gary (Donna) Slump of Chandler, Ariz. and Lana (Jim) Niehans of Penrose, Colo.; sister, Iona (Bill) White; grandchildren, Andrew (Michelle) Slump of Aurora, Colo. and Carrie (Sheldon) Vidamo of Chandler, Ariz.; and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Garrett and Matthew Vidamo. Donald was born to Mae and Clyde Slump on November 10, 1919, in Villisca, Iowa. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Master Sargent during WWII in the invasions of North Africa, Southern France and Sicily. Donald retired from C.F.&I. in quality control for the Tube Mill and was a member of the Local Steel Workers' Union # 2102. As per his request, there will be no viewing. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Gary Slump officiating. Military Honors by Pueblo Veterans' Ritual Team and interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
