Dean “Dino” Marsh Ellingwood, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 28, 2022. He is survived by his sons, Nathan (Mary Theresa) Ellingwood, and Jefferson Ellingwood; grandson, Gregory Ellingwood; brother, David Ellingwood.
Preceded in death by his parents, David and Marilyn Ellingwood.
Dean was born June 21, 1955, in Pueblo Colo. and worked in construction and as an Aviary Technician throughout southern Colorado and northern New Mexico. He said being an Aviary Technician was the most fulfilling job. Dino enjoyed the Denver Broncos and being with friends and family. He played the piano from a young age and loved to play and listen to music. Dino could be found playing the piano in nursing homes if he saw one while maintaining their aviaries. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Oh, how heartbreaking! Dean was one of my favorite friends in high school. We were born on the exact same day and that created a bond for us. He will always be thought of fondly. Rest In Peace and love, my friend.

I am so saddened to hear about Dino’s passing. I have a lot of fond memories of Dino and the time he spent in
the Moffat/Crestone area. My condolences to his family, he was very special and will be missed.
