Resided in: Pueblo West, Colorado

Davis Kimball Fredregill, son of Robert and Katryna Fredregill, was born November 30, 1985 and passed away May 2, 2026. He will be dearly missed.
Davis was born “in-action.” He grew up on the family’s land in Beulah, Colorado, a perfect place for a little boy who never stopped moving. He was a cute kid with a mischievous smile and twinkle in his eyes that often betrayed his intentions of adventure. He broke and fixed, climbed and jumped, played and played. There was soccer and roller hockey, violin and clarinet, track and snowboarding. As a teenager he completed RAGBRAI (a 500-mile bike ride across Iowa) on a tandem bike with his dad.
A born outdoorsman, Davis’ love for nature and animals threaded through his life. At nearly any point in his first 18 years he had some sort of animal in his care: dogs, cats, lizards, hamsters, salamanders, and snakes. Every dog in his orbit became his best buddy, thanks to lots of on-the-floor scratches and snuggles.
As a young adult, Davis joined the U.S. Air Force as a TACP, an elite Special Warfare Airman. He was an excellent marksman and mentally strong as hell, proudly spending 10 years defending the United States, including two tours in Afghanistan. After leaving the military, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Machining/Precision Manufacturing. He could talk for hours about his work, and each expertly-made piece was his mark of excellence.
When he wasn’t at work, he was hunting or fishing or dreaming up his next project. He was always a dreamer. A project-planning, future-focused, “what-can-we-do-next” man.
Davis was a true character. Droll and stoic, yet sharp and hilarious. He had his own “Davis-isms,” words and phrases that only made sense coming from him. He kept his family and friends laughing, and his belly laugh was like no other. He was a steadfast supporter at the family gatherings, a willing participant in his niece’s cheerleading routines, a magnificent bear-hugger, and the best son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle anyone could ask for.
Davis is survived by his parents, Bob and Tryna; his sister, Lynette Fry (Jonathan); nieces Maribel and Lucia Fry; and a colorful group of aunts, uncles, and cousins (and dogs, of course).

  1. CandleImageBob, Tryna and family,
There are no words. It’s not supposed to happen this way, but sadly it has. My heart aches for you. Draw strength and comfort from one another and the wonderful memories you share of Davis. God be with you all. Rest in Paradise, Davis.

  2. This Man was a Gentleman! One of the finest humans I have ever known!
Davis was a Bonus Brother to my Brother, Christopher Martinez. When he came into our world, he did so with the upmost compassion, genuineness and a soul of grace. He shared such profound experiences with my brother. They were absolute Brothers of the Heart! Davis’ spirit lit up every room he walked in to. Our family gives so very much thanks to God for leading his pathway unto us. Our heatfelt thanks and prayers to the Fredregill family for sharing him with us. Forever treasured in our hearts!

  3. CandleImageI served with Freddie in Washington from 2010-2012. He always kept us laughing and could fix just about any problem, to include damaged rental cars! An awesome warrior and friend that will be greatly missed.

  6. CandleImageMy deepest condolences to the family. Davis was a brother I never knew from the TACP fraternity, but a brother nonetheless. Earning his beret speaks volumes of his fortitude and character. I know firsthand that usually means he had an amazing family behind him. May God grant you all peace and comfort in this very trying time.

  21. CandleImageI have no words. I have many fond memories of Davis during the time we knew eachother during his TACP years when we were housemates. I knew him as “Freddy” and when I think of him to this day I still smile. I remember listening to music, talking about life, going on drives, eating good food watching TV or simply hanging at the house playing video games. I always appreciated his humor, perspective and kind nature. It was also neat getting to visit with Bob and Katryna when they came to visit. Life went different directions but I have fond memories. Davis taught me a couple things that I still use to this day, one how to control my breathing for better accuracy while shooting and secondly how to properly put a duvet cover on a comforter.

Freddy, I hope to see you on the flip side.

Bob, Katryna and family I am very saddened for your loss.
