David Owen Jones, 85, passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2022. Survived by his wife, Laura J. Jones; children, Wayne Jones, Linda (Frank) Post and Mike (Becky) Jones; brother, Roger Jones; grandchildren, Michael, Jr., Cynthia, Bruce David and Damon; and great-grandchildren, Bruce James, Lillian, Derek and Maximus. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, William Jones.
David was born to Trevor and Elizabeth Jones on Nov. 21, 1936, in Long Beach, Calif. He enjoyed all his kids and grandkids, flying RC planes, supporting youth sports in Pueblo West and singing in the choir at St. Pius X in Pueblo.
Visitation, 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, followed by a rosary at 6 p.m. in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Memorial Mass, 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at St. Pius X, 3130 Morris. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com

We are so sorry about David. He was a gentle giant and I’m sure a Teddy Bear to all people who knew him. He wasn’t a talked, but that is what he wanted. What a wonderful person to know and be proud of it.
