Dave was a natural with people. His eyes would sparkle with happiness and a touch of mischief!

I’ve truly known only a handful of people in my nearly 70 years that had that inner sweetness that Dave possessed, so kind.

  15. My best memories of David were the year he spent in Boulder at CU when we were in college. He taught me how to make sure our name was pronounced correctly. “It’s easy it rhymes with obese—Cortese! Works every time!” He was right. The people I told, never forgot how to pronounce my name! Actually I think of David every time my name is used!
    RIP David

  24. Billie Jean,

We were so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I have known Dave as my friend for well over 50 years and I always admired the person and friend that he was. I met Dave in a bowling alley, it was called Bowl-O-Mat back in the day. We bowled junior leagues together and went to many tournaments throughout the state. I remember Mr. and Mrs. Cortese and Sandra quite well. A wonderful family! Then Dave found the girl of his dreams and had his own wonderful family. Although the our paths have been apart my friendship for this family was always strong. Rhonda and I will miss Dave’s smile and positive approach that Dave had in life. Our sincere condolences go out to the entire family.

    Scott and Rhonda Bridgman

My deepest sympathy to Billie Jean ,Cassie, Aaron and Sandy. Rest in peace my birthday brother.🙏❤️ Sandy Schuster-Ward
