David Don Plymell, 66, passed away October 28, 2017. Survived by his Wife, Carolyn Plymell; Brother -Dan (Donna) Plymell, Brother -Wayne (Georgie) Plymell, Sister -Verna (Jerry) Frick, Aunt-Genevieve Buffalow, as well as in-laws, Bill (Cris) Goldsberry, Joyce (Ray) Lukes, Carl Goldsberry, Linda (Gary) Shaufler, Diana Plymell and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by, Parents- Don (June) Plymell, Brother- Edward Plymell. Dave was born to Don and June Plymell on January 2, 1951, in Pueblo Colorado. He worked for Denver Rio Grande, Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads for a total of 44 years. Dave enjoyed fishing and hanging out with family and friends. He also enjoyed his multiple dogs, playing cards, working on model airplanes and trains, working on his hot rods and collecting train memorabilia. Dave was an avid Broncos fan.   8. My deepest sympathy to Carol and the Plymell family, they always treated me like a good friend that I and Dave were. I met Dave on a cold December day when we both hired out for the DRGW RR in 1972; we worked which each other for over 40+ years (like clock work) and were still true friends when we retired. I have a lot of memories with him that will not be forgotten. God bless him and give him peace, we will meet again. Friend for eternity John M. Pavlica

    I always loved it when you and Wayne would give each other a hard time.
    There is a song that says I hope the Angles know what they have and ask what it is like in Heaven. I know they have a Gem In you for sure tell Ed Hi and may you two enjoy being together again. We are so glad to share the cruise with both of you and it is one memory Tom and I will always cherish. We enjoyed our numerous card games and times together. We wish you peace and blessings.   12. I worked with Dave as well on the old D&RGW;. I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was a great man to work with. Many long nights and great cuts to switch. He was very good at the job. Also, he was just fun.

I worked with Dave back in the Rio Grande days, I was in one of the last groups they hired and will always remember Dave having a lot of patience with us new guys, I truly respected him for that, he was always great to work with and I enjoyed his company. My condolences to his many friends and family. RIP my friend!

  21. I can’t say anything except good things about my friend and co-worker Dave. Even his nick name -(plywood) given to him by baby John makes me smile. Like they used to say–only the good die young. Dave was a good guy and I will miss him dearly. To all the Plymell family —-God bless–& peace.

I remember always asking my Mom if Dave was the engineer of every train we saw when going back and forth to Colorado Springs. He was such a kind man and helped my Mom whenever she needed anything.
