David Blair Marshall Madsen, 26, passed away Feb. 4, 2014. Survived by his mother, Teresa J. Marshall; father, Richard B. Madsen; brother, Daniel R.M. Madsen; sisters, Jennifer T. Madsen and Lareina Jackson; wife, Jessica Madsen; step-daughters, Autumn and Allie; grandfather, Richard E. Madsen; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and step-brothers and all the members of his 'hockey family.' He is also survived by his best friend and loyal companion, Gauge. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Viola Madsen, Glenys and Leland Marshall; and cousins, Kurt D. Friedemann and Nicole Marshall. David was born in Pueblo on December 22, 1987, at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital to Teresa J. Marshall and Richard B. Madsen. He was a 2006, graduate of Pueblo South High School and served in the US Navy. David played ice hockey for the Pueblo Youth Hockey Association Panthers and Pueblo County Hornets Ice Hockey team. He was a goal tender who was all-state in 2006. After graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and served on a ship out of San Diego, Calif. After the Navy, he became an Emergency Medical Technician and worked for Pride Mark Paramedics in Denver. He attended Arapahoe Community College, Metro State College and Denver University. David enjoyed playing ice hockey, baseball and bull riding. He recently began riding horses and loved riding them as fast as they would go. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.
