  14. CandleImageDavid was in my 8th Grade Social Studies class the very first year I taught. He stood out to me because of his gentle demeanor, his smile, and his intelligence. He surprised and amazed me one day when was able to identify my capitalist biases. I never expected something like that from an 8th grader.

I wish I could remember all of my former students the way I remember David, but some just seem to be embedded more deeply.

I am profoundly sorry for the pain his loving parents must be feeling. I remember the love they had for their son. I am also heartbroken to hear he is leaving behind a sweet wife. All of David’s loved ones will be in my prayers.

  15. My condolences to David’s family. He was a friend of my son Daniels. We are sending you all prayers and love.
