Darwin C. Harper, 72, passed away March 25, 2007. Survived by his children, children, Kari Lynn (Ervin C.) Southard, Darwin C. (Maria) Harper II and Jody (Andy) Wright; stepchildren, Kathleen (Leslee) Brown of Rochester Hills, Mich. and Kelly Ann Baldwin of Arvada, Colo.; brother, Eugene Harper; grandchildren, Jennifer Saldana, Thomas Senn, Casey Wright, Will Wright, Rebecca McCloskey, Chris McCloskey, Kenny McCloskey, John McCloskey, Kathy McCloskey and Jennifer McCloskey; step-grandchildren, Veronica Ann Rodriguez, Jennifer Lee Brown, Brian Wayne Brown and Vincent Louis Rodriguez; niece, Sandra Maciuk; nephew, Don Shell; and ten great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Daryleen Ann Harper; parents, Dewey and Violet Harper; and brother, Robert Harper. Darwin was born March 24, 1935, in Colorado Springs. He was a disabled veteran who served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Darwin retired as a Captain of the Denver Police Department after over 25 years of service. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service with Naval and Police Honors, noon Friday, March 30, 2007, at Crown Hill, 29th & Wadsworth Blvd., in Wheat Ridge, Colo., followed by a double committal of his and his wife's unity urn at Crown Hill Cemetery.
