Darlene J. Palumbo, 56, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Dec. 14, 2021. She is survived by her mother, Janet Palumbo; children, Rejeanna (Michael) Livengood and Rosie (Hope) Palumbo-Griser; granddaughter, Reese Livengood; brother, Chad (Debbie) Palumbo; sister-in-law, Melissa Palumbo; and nephews, Jacob, Dominick and Russell. She is preceded in death by her father, Daniel Palumbo; and brother, Daniel Jr. Darlene was born Feb. 3, 1965, to Daniel and Janet Palumbo and was a lifelong resident of Pueblo, Colo. She graduated from East High School in 1983, and worked for Pueblo School District-60 for 27 years. Darlene was a proud new grandmother or “Mimi” for which she had the greatest joy and excitement. She enjoyed yard sales, gardening, time at the family cabin, crafting, baking (for which you could always find her making something) and quiet nights at home with her cat, Junie B.   13. Darlene was the best at making people feel special, needed, and welcomed. She is the first person I met 21 years ago at Irving elementary. I began my career substituting and she believed in me. I would not be where I am today still trying my best as an educator had she not supported me in the beginning and all the way through her love could carry an army. Thank you, Darlene I love and miss you.
