Dan (a.k.a. “Chopper” or “Bear”) was born July 7, 1944 in Pueblo. He graduated from Central High School and served in the US Air Force. He was the owner of Medved’s Service for 35 years in “Bojon Town.” In addition to being a mechanic, he was also a private pilot and flight instructor (some of his students have gone on to become military and airline pilots.) He was a member of the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA), Knights of Columbus, K.S.K.J. He was a loving, caring and devoted son, husband, father and grandfather who spent his entire life helping, and there was very little that he couldn’t do, fix or build. His many life-experiences and hobbies included skiing, hunting, fishing, boating, flying, carpentry, landscaping and baking potica; though his greatest love was his family. Dan will lovingly be remembered for always smiling, laughing, and having a great sense of humor. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. 1. Danny and I went to St. Mary’s Grade School way back when. I remember the nuns yelling at us when we whispered in class. But we sure didn’t let it stop us! RIP…

  2. Joan and family,
I will miss Dan’s friendly smile, nod and handshake when entering and leaving church, and when he gave the go-ahead for me to get in line for communion. He is surely one of God’s Ushers in heaven. You are blessed to have family nearby to personally share in your grieving process and great memories.
God Bless and be with you, and all your loved ones, now and forever.
    With deepest sympathy,
    Bob Dyleski

  4. Dear Medved family,

I am so sad to see that Danny has passed away. I grew up on Bohmen, a half a block away from Medveds gas station. What wonderful memories I have from back then and Danny was part of them. He was always smiling and friendly! Always a hard worker and never slowing down. If we needed help with our vehicles he was our go to person.
I offer my deepest sympathy to all of his family and know that memories of Danny will sustain you in the days ahead. I send also my love, thoughts and prayers your way. Rest In Peace Danny.

  5. Dear Joan and Family,
