Dale Richard Rupp, 86 years old, passed away September 7, 2024. 

Survived by his bride, Patricia; children, Dina McCarty (Kevin), Debra Moore (Mark), Anne Rupp, Randy Shisler (Valerie) and Tracee Easton (Randy Purcell); grandchildren, Michelle, Mattie, Nigel, Ian, Joshua, Rachel, Nic, Zac, Carlee, Tabyre and Tahnee ; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Dorthea Rupp; brother, Eugene Rupp; step-son, Wayne Shisler; son-in-law, Bud Easton; granddaughter, Jessica Tameris; grandson, Michael Lee Haling Jr.

Dale was born September 17, 1937, in Ness City, Kansas. He served in the Navy  for 3 years. Dale worked at the Pueblo Army Depot, then for 29 years was the data processing manager for Colorado Department of Institutions. Dale and Patti enjoyed spending time with their family camping, fishing, gardening and traveling. Dale was an avid pool shark, and spent much of his time scratching lottery tickets.  He was a distinguished creator of both cowboy boot mirrors and his beautiful backyard to include cherry tomatoes. Dale’s most admired asset was giving to others. 

Memorial service, 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.

  1. So many wonderful memories of Dale Dated his cousin Dennis in the 60’s. Had the fortune of sharing Hapago Haven in Westcliffe for years with him and Patti. Called him my candy man because I could not leave him without his giving me a bag of candy!
    RIP dear friend.
