Daisy Ruth Hall Mullennix, 97, passed away August 3, 2005. Survived by her sons, Robert Gene (Donna) Mullennix of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Richard (Jacque) Mullennix of Pueblo; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lawrence Mullennix in 1973; son, Ted Leon Mullennix; daughters, Rosalyn Mae Reed and Dorothy Lee Tholstrup; and grandchildren, Becky Tholstrup and Brad Reed. Daisy was born to John Buckingham and Martha Palina Hall in Mountain Park, Okla. At the age of 3, Daisy traveled to Colorado with her family by train. They returned to Oklahoma by covered wagon when she was 6, and then came back to Colorado at the age of 15 by Model T. She graduated from Crowley High School in 1927 and married Elmer in Olney Springs, Colo. in June of that year. Member of First United Methodist Church, Rebecca Circle, Sunday After Church Dinner Club, Railroad Retirement Club, Literary Club and Anthemites Club. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2005, at First United Methodist Church, 11th and Court, Pueblo, with the Reverend Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Ordway. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Sangre de Cristo Hospice, c/o Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003.
