Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I sit here and cry because on this Yom Kippur morning, I just learned of your mother’s death.
I don’t know why I had this pressing need to try to call her this morning. Although I was overcome with grief at the answer, I feel she reached out to me from beyond. Andy, Bobby, and Jenny, please know that I will remember your Mom with love and a vast array of memories for all of my life. She was a dear person who helped me in countless ways, both concrete and esoteric. I am happy that she was blessed to have had time to see your wonderful lives and the lives of all your children. L’shanah tovah tikatevuh v’tichatemuh.

  2. I have just learned of Charlotte’s passing. We were the closest of friends while she was at Barnard and loved to hit the jazz spots in Manhattan together and was a bridesmaid at her wedding! Although far apart in later years, I will never forget her infectious twinkle! Condolences to Ken, her children and grandkids and all who loved her! Rest in peace, dear Charlotte! Annette Raymon Smith

  3. Jenny, Andy and Bobby, I am sorry for your loss. Charlotte had the driest sense of humor I have ever known and was a comfort to me many times. I knew all of you from the time you guys were small and I know you had the best parents that loved you without reservation.Blessings to you and may you have an easy transition during this time with great memories.
    with love, lynne

  4. Larry and I want to express our sincere sympathy to Jenne, Bob, and Andy, and the entire Simmons family. Char was such kindhearted person, who knew just the right thing to say to make you feel special. She had an infectious laugh, and lovely smile. She will always have a place in our hearts that we will hold dear. Her love of nature always rang through as was proven by her gorgeous garden in which she happily toiled for hours on end. She was truly “one of a kind”. We celebrate her beautiful life and spirit and will be forever grateful to have had such a sweet, loving woman as Char come into our lives.
All our love, Rosie & Larry
